Always a Thrill!

Several of my books are carried by the Jerusalem library. How do I know this? Because my “proof of life” text that I received from my daughter the other morning said, “Did you know that the Jerusalem Library carries six of your books?” and then proceeded to show me screen shots from their computer. Now, most of those books are either super old or out of print, but one of them is Falling for the Rabbi. And I’m super excited about it!

It was a wonderful distraction from my worry over the fact that she (and her fiancé) are there currently. Don’t get me wrong. I’m thrilled they’re traveling to Israel. I also want to go again. I just wish my children would choose times when we weren’t in the middle of a war—my other daughter was there last year when Israel struck Iran. However, I’m assured that everything is fine.

I did require them to send me proof-of-life texts in the morning and before bed, and I’ve been added to a shared photo album that she constantly updates with beautiful photos that make me jealous. So we’re all good. They’re having a wonderful time before their program starts, and they’ll be home in the middle of July, just in time for wedding planning to go into high gear. So we’ll all be fine.

And in the meantime, I’m so excited to see my books in Israel! It’s exciting when my books are publishes, and it’s even more thrilling when they are published in another country. But Israel? It feels like someone is surrounding them with love, and I couldn’t be happier.
