It's Release Day
Falling for the Rabbi is out in the world
Today is the release day for Falling for the Rabbi. Release days are always exciting—and scary and crazy and filled with emotion. No matter how many books I release, and I think I’m up to 17, that doesn’t change.
I’ve spent at least a year writing and editing and rewriting the manuscript, before and after submitting it to my editor to see if she liked it enough to publish it. And then more editing and rewriting to incorporate her comments and proofreadings and copyedits. I’ve agonized over the cover art questionnaire, brainstormed titles (this was not my title choice but I’m thrilled they wanted to put Rabbi on the cover) and then spent months on promotion.
As my husband said the other day, “It feels like this book has been out for months already.”
He’s right, it does. Waking up today was a little like waking up on your birthday, wondering what the day will bring. Early reviews have been positive—mostly—but you never know. And the work isn’t over yet, because I still have to post reviews and convince readers to post their reviews, send out a newsletter, and show off my (hopefully) successful book to convince other people to read and review it.
And then start all over again with the next book!
But in addition to being an exciting day, I’m filled with gratitude. Gratitude to Harlequin and HarperCollins for not only continually publishing my books when so many publishers are turning Jewish authors and Jewish books away. Gratitude to my critique partners who helped shepherd this book into being. And gratitude to all of you, whose enthusiastic support has kept me going through some really dark days.
Thank you and happy reading

Congratulations!!!!
