Wedding Mode
I’m deep in wedding mode these days. My daughter is getting married in October, and while she and her fiancé are doing 90% of the planning, there’s plenty for me to do. I’m planning the bridal shower, figuring out what I’m going to wear, and of course, stressing over all the last-minute details.
I’m also writing the third book in my Matchmaker, Matchmaker series (book 1 is Falling for the Rabbi) and guess what? It’s all about a wedding. My heroine’s sister is getting married and my heroine has been demoted from maid of honor to bridesmaid. She’s trying to win back her position, or at least an apology. The hero is best man and has been assigned to keep an eye on her (she’s kind of flighty). In the process, he falls in love with her.
This one has more of a rom-com feel with lots of zany antics that show just why Noa needs someone to keep an eye on her, even as she proves she would have made the perfect maid of honor.
So, of course, I’m pulling things from real life, twisting them just enough not to make them recognizable—well, except for the bridesmaids dress not fitting (that happened to me, and oh, boy, it’s a lot funnier now than it was at the time).
My question to you is this: What crazy thing happened to you either during the lead-up or at the actual wedding? I’m a little short on word-count, maybe something similar will make it into the book! ;)

Congrats on your daughter’s upcoming wedding. Long time ago, I was a maid of honor for my friend’s wedding. Their beloved dog ate the rings on the wedding day. It was hilarious, although not for the bride and groom. LOL!
